Job Description**Key Responsibilities****Materials Program
Management**+ Works with cross functional teams (engineering,
manufacturing, quality, services) to manage supply chain related
aspects of the program through various phases of product
development (sourcing map, dual sourcing, IP protection, contracts,
onboarding suppliers etc).+ Work with BU operations and marketing
teams to align on product forecast and material spend forecast+
Completes supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts.
Provides input to outsourcing decisions by performing make versus
buy analysis.+ Actively mediates and partners with quality and
engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues for assigned
product groups.+ Works with product development and manufacturing
engineering teams to stay aligned and manage all volume transition
related issues and challenges+ Works with services/spares
organization on securing products residual value**Supplier and
Commodity Management**+ Forecasts and communicates engineering,
materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. Manage
supplier capacity ramps as required per forecast+ Supplier price
and delivery negotiations; Manage supplier cost reduction roadmap+
Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost)**Strategic
Sourcing**+ Works with engineering to identify preliminary critical
parts, long-lead parts and inspection requirements.+ Assists and/or
leads in developing supplier and commodity road maps**Functional
Knowledge**+ Basic understanding of fiber optics components and
experience working with laser vendors.+ Experience with low volume,
high complexity PCBs would be a plus+ Knowledge of basic mechanical
design would be a plus**Business Expertise**+ Basic understanding
of the Display Market and Display Equipment vendors+ Basic
understanding of contract negotiations**Problem Solving**+ Leads
others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical
thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative
solutions**Interpersonal Skills**+ Communicates difficult concepts
and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of
view**Education**+ Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or
sciences such as Electrical Engineering/Physics Preferred+ Advanced
Degree in Management preferred+ 15+ Years of
Experience**Location**+ Prefer CA, or someone willing to work in
