People for People is looking for a Driver Department Manager &
Vehicle/Facilities Maintenance (FT) for our Transportation
Department of our Non-Profit organization located in Yakima, WA. We

Summary: Under the direction of the Transportation Operations
Manager this position is responsible for all aspects of driver
supervision, including coordination of driver training and
continuing education; participating in the staffing process,
hiring, discipline, terminations, driver schedules and payroll
documentation. This position is also responsible for proper vehicle
maintenance in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the
company and local, state, and federal law. Ensures the timely and
cost-effective Preventive Maintenance of Agency transportation
fleet of vehicles, company staff vehicles and equipment; is
responsible for the fleet of vehicles and scheduling of general
maintenance to ensure their safety. Performs & coordinates general
maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and
General areas of supervision include: ensuring safe, cost
effective, timely, and dependable transportation services. This
position requires being available to respond during all hours of
operation, including evenings and weekends as determined by system
needs. Also requires comprehensive knowledge of transit operation.

--- High School diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to
those with higher education.
--- One year experience in employee supervision, vehicle
maintenance and facilities maintenance preferred.
--- Must have a current WA State Driver's CDL License and a minimum
of five years licensed driving experience.
--- Must have a Mechanic Certificate or 5 years of extensive

Department of Transportation and overall driving fitness.
--- Must have a minimum of five years licensed driving
--- Must have no moving traffic violations in the past three (3)
years AND no involvement in any at-fault accidents within the past
five years as evidenced by current driving abstract. Abstract dated
no more than one month prior to hire date must be provided by
--- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and
passing a Pre-employment Drug Screen, a Washington State Patrol
Background Check and/or National Background Check, Credit History
Check, Reference Checks and all other required documentation.
Wage: Starting at $23.96/hour plus a comprehensive benefits
