Reporting to the System Vice President of Quality, The Nursing Director of Accreditation Compliance will coordinate with Hospital Leadership on all quality and regulatory compliance performance improvement. This position will provide direction and guidance to a Regulatory Leadership Team that includes Hospital Management from several different departments as well as Regulatory Compliance Analysts, TJC and CMS Survey Preparation Specialists and Compliance Data Registers. This person will be responsible for promoting a culture that encourages regulatory compliance throughout the healthcare system-- This person will work together with the Quality Department to set priorities for improvement based on the system's strategic plans. The Accreditation Compliance Nursing Director will coordinate with each department in this community hospital, including Nurse Managers and Directors from Inpatient Care (Medical Surgical, Critical Care), Emergency Department, Women's and Children's, Procedural Care (Surgical and Cardiac Services), and Outpatient Care. In addition to internal departments within the hospital, this position also works with external agencies including the Joint Commission (JCAHO), The Department of Health (DOH), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) The Nursing Director of Accreditation Compliance is responsible for interpreting licensure, regulatory, and accrediting requirements and for assessing the organization's current compliance. This position will develop and monitor action plans for continuous survey readiness and coordinate TJC compliance activities with the Hospital's Joint Commission Steering Committee. This person will also provide direct support and consultation at the department level to meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
