As a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) you will assist providers
and other members of the clinic health care team by performing a
variety of back-office and patient-related tasks to ensure a smooth
patient workflow within the department. In this role, you will
provide a variety of patient care procedures within the scope of
practice as defined by the Samaritan Clinic under Washington State
certification. The scope of practice may include, but is not
limited to: injections, ear lavage, blood draws or other samples,
measuring patient vital signs, proficiency in swabs to include
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Strep and Covid-19, manage
rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation,
assisting with the patient visit and procedures, maintaining and
documenting of the patient chart with current information on
patients condition, care provided, and follow-up prescribed by the
physician/provider, and post-visit duties.
We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude and the ability
to explain procedures in a compassionate and reassuring manner.
This position will support our growing Samaritan clinic team
serving our Pioneer location.
You may qualify for this position with the following credentialing
and experience:
Active license in the State of Washington as a Medical
Assistant-Certified (National certifications must still become
credentialed through the WA State Department of Health)
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems, Epic preferred
Current Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR certification
Competencies include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrated competency in the provision of care for
customers/patients across the age continuum
Critical thinking in seeking appropriate direction and the ability
to independently exercise safe judgment in decision making
Ability to practice within legal and ethical guidelines
Demonstrated competency on equipment and skills
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, 40 hours per
week between 7:45a -5:15p.
