Interpath Laboratory is seeking candidates with exceptional leadership traits and or proven people management skills to join our team as a Phlebotomy and Processing Supervisor in our main lab in Pendleton, Oregon. This person will oversee 19 total phlebotomists/Processors working day and swing shifts in areas of patient reception, specimen collection, and specimen processing.

  • Develop schedules and assign work for 19 total day shift and swing shift employees
  • Enforce quality and customer service standards and lead by example
  • Monitor productivity and efficiency of all assigned personnel
  • Look for opportunities to enhance staff productivity while maintaining top tier quality
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of specimens
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations
  • Actively participate in departmental quality assurance monitoring

      • Absolutely must have significant experience in and knowledge of phlebotomy and or specimen processing.

        • Paid Time Off Lab staff must wear appropriate protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield) at all times while in the lab and are regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples. Physical requirements, in addition to willingness & ability to wear protective gear while working, are:
          • Ability to stand for extended period of times
          • Lift up to 25 pounds
          • Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis
          • Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test OSHA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues.
