Job Description:
Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA) is an individual who
is licensed to engage in the practice of applied behavior analysis
under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst. The role of
the (LABA) is to extend the abilities of the BCBA to provide
supervision to others in implementation of components of treatment
plans. LABA assist BCBAs by providing direct implementation of
treatment plans, monitoring program progression, keeping BCBAs
informed of challenges, and making needed program changes as
directed by their supervising BCBA. Essential Functions: Implements
and monitors client specific therapeutic treatment plans as
developed by the BCBA In conjunction with supervisory staff and
caregivers, implements and monitors programs appropriate to the
current and future needs of the clients. Monitors programs, moves
targets forward, prepares program materials, and makes procedural
changes as needed as directed by BCBA Recommends and consults with
BCBA to implement behavior observation systems, support plans, and
behavior intervention guidelines. Coordinate the collection,
summarization and analysis of data related to individual program
goals and behavioral plans. Consults with Behavior Technicians,
caregivers, and supervisory staff to ensure that programming is
adequate to meet the needs of the client. Analyzes program data to
ensure appropriate progress and effectiveness. Develops and
maintains weekly and monthly progress notes, reviews clinical
documentation of Behavior Technicians, and updates treatment plans.
Completes appropriate assessments and probes new targets to
determine future goals. Communicates with parents, guardians or
other caregivers concerning behavioral and educational programming.
Supervises, orients, and trains Behavior Technicians in the
implementation of programs and behavioral intervention procedures,
routinely providing ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance staff
development and skill. Ensures Behavior Technician is oriented
appropriately to the company and follows all policies and
procedures. Evaluates Behavior Technician performance and addresses
issues to ensure quality and consistency across clinical programs.
Proactively addresses employee relation issues or concerns,
including ongoing coaching and feedback, employee development,
performance management, and disciplinary actions with support and
guidance from BCBA Provides verbal, written, and graphic
communications. Consults with supervisory staff to ensure the
provision of effective and efficient service delivery. Continually
develops skills and knowledge in the area of behavior analysis
through participation in continuing education, workshops, and
required company training. Follows and abides by all APA ethical
guidelines and policies, regulations, and laws including
confidentiality and HIPAA. Adheres to mandated reporting
regulations. Follows and ensures all staff are abiding by Caravel
policies and procedures. Maintains professional boundaries with
clients and their families and represents company in a professional
manner. Attends and participates in weekly clinic meetings with
Supervisory and Lead staff present. As needed, will collaborate
with a client's school staff and attend IEP meetings to create
consistency with service goals. Monitor weekly and monthly service
hours to meet funding requirements. Consistent and regular
attendance is a requirement of the position. Expectations are for
employee to work on average 40 hours per week or more in completing
duties and responsibilities of the position. Caravel Pay Details
$22.43 to $27.23 Quarterly incentive bonus Compensation for the
role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's
qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall

Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst Certificate Experience: 135
classroom hours of instruction in Behavior Analysis topics 1000
hours of supervised ABA therapy See above education/experience
requirements. Must have experience working with children and
adolescents, utilizing ABA therapies. A solid understanding of
autism and behavioral principles. Experience utilizing applied
behavior analytic strategies to modify behavior. Experience with
functional behavior assessments and writing behavior support plans.
Skills and Competencies: Natural ability to interact with children,
with the ability to work with a variety of children on the autism
spectrum, at different functioning levels. Must display energy and
creativity. Critical thinking skills, with strong analytical
abilities. Strong work ethic, with the ability to meet scheduling
commitments. Strong leadership skills to include conflict
resolution, coaching, and training. Excellent verbal, written and
interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and
maintain relationships. Must be able to communicate information and
ideas by speaking in a way in which others will understand. Must be
able to maintain confidentiality and abide by ethical guidelines
and policies, including compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.

Demonstrate the ability to successfully adapt and perform in an
ever-changing, fast paced environment. Strong organizational and
time management skills. Must be self-motivated and goal
oriented.
