Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Oncology Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 34-bed telemetry unit, requiring WA or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and chemotherapy certification. \n \n Responsibilities\n Position is on a 34-bed Oncology/Telemetry hospital unit Care for complex patient populations including oncology, post-cath, CHF, MI, sepsis, and high acuity telemetry cases Patient ratios are 1:4 on days Assignment consists of 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week Every other weekend is required Floating may be required to other Med/Surg or Tele units Uses Epic EMR system Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Draeger monitors are utilized Support staff include CNAs, unit coordinators, receptionist, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, hospitalist, and telemetry monitoring techs Role involves providing care to post-cath patients including stent placements and TR band management Must complete two 12-hour shifts of on-unit orientation depending on contracted shifts Highly diverse patient population including a significant Spanish-speaking and underserved community Holiday rotation requires working 1-2 holidays per contract Scrub color is flexible; any color is permitted First-time travelers considered with required experience Free onsite parking is available Team-oriented, traveler-friendly, and fast-paced work environment focused on patient-centered care Seven days of time off can be approved in advance per contract \n \n Requirements\n Active WA or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required ONS certification preferred Chemotherapy certification required At least 1 year of telemetry experience required Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required for first-time travelers Proficiency with trach care, chest tubes, TR bands, post-cath care, central line maintenance, Bipap, high-flow oxygen, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and titratable drips (diltiazem, heparin) necessary \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-626688.
