Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Moses Lake, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,295 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments License: Current Washington State RN Licensure Certifications: Healthcare Provider Level of Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire Must-Have: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Critical thinking skills and the ability to perform independent problem solving. Demonstrated competency in caring for patients across the age continuum. Emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels for 8 to 12 hours at a time. Description: This position is responsible for functioning as both a caregiver and care manager. In the caregiver role, the RN assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame implementing the Nursing Process. In the role of care manager, the RN directs and oversees the work of other caregivers via delegation, coordination, supervision, and validation/evaluation of patient care outcomes. The individual in this position must understand the purpose and operation of Patient Care Services. They should have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. Essential functions include performing assessment/data collection, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status. The RN implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner by utilizing predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans. Identifying patient learning needs and implementing patient teaching as defined by policy and care plans is also critical. Documentation in the patient's chart is required, following policy and regulatory requirements. The RN is expected to be aware of and sensitive to patient and family rights, ensuring care is provided regardless of any classification protected by law. Effective delegation and supervision of patient care activities are vital for this role. The RN must demonstrate effective organization and priority setting using sound critical thinking skills. This position may require functioning as a Charge Nurse, including delegation of patient assignments and coordinating staff coverage for breaks. It is essential to maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations. Awareness of safety requirements, including infection control, equipment safety, and safe lifting practices, is a necessary part of the job. Compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements, must be ensured. The RN will interface with team members and other support groups in a courteous and efficient manner. Conducting oneself in a professional manner and meeting personal appearance standards is expected. All additional responsibilities as required by management should be handled to meet organizational standards. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and pushing/pulling. The ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs. and push/pull 60 to 300 lbs. with assistance is necessary. Keen mental faculties are required to perform assessment and decision-making skills in the management of acutely ill patients. Good reading eyesight and visual acuity to observe patient assessment data is needed. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for accurate information exchange. There will be up to 24 hours of call off available to the facility at no cost during the course of the assignment.
