Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Moses Lake, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,871 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Moses Lake, Washington, 98837! Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments. License: Current RN Licensure. Certifications: HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire. Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients. - Critical thinking skills and the ability to seek resources for direction. - Demonstrated accountability and practice within legal and ethical guidelines. - Crisis management abilities. - Competency in caring for patients across the age continuum. - Competency on equipment specified on the department-specific checklist. Description: This position is responsible for functioning as both a caregiver and care manager. In the caregiver role, the RN assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame implementing the Nursing Process. In the role of care manager, the RN directs and oversees the work of other caregivers via delegation, coordination, supervision, and validation of patient care outcomes. The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of Patient Care Services. They must have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. Essential functions include performing assessment and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status. The RN will implement care knowledgeable, skillfully, consistently, and continuously by adhering to predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans. Identifying patient and significant other learning needs is vital. The RN will implement patient teaching as defined by policy and care plans. Documentation in patient charts must be performed per policy and in accordance with regulatory requirements. The RN demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity to patient and family rights regardless of any classifications protected by law. Demonstrating appropriate delegation of patient care activities is required. The RN must effectively supervise assigned coworkers. Effective organization and priority setting utilizing sound critical thinking must be demonstrated. Utilizing appropriate lines of authority is important. The RN may be required to function as a Charge Nurse, including delegation of patient assignments, coordinating staff coverage for breaks, and serving as a lead for the unit. Maintaining professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations is expected. Safety requirements must be adhered to, including infection control and equipment safety. Compliance with organization policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements, is essential. Interface with team members and other support groups should be conducted in a courteous and efficient manner aligned with organizational values. Conducting oneself in a professional manner is necessary while ensuring personal appearance meets job standards. Additional accountabilities as required by management must be handled appropriately to meet organizational standards. The individual in this position reports to the Nursing Department Director and other designated supervisory staff on duty. This position works closely with patients, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, pushing, and pulling. Manual dexterity is necessary to ambulate for 8 to 12 hours and manage multiple pieces of equipment safely. Physical strength to perform CPR and lift/push/pull patients with assistance is required. Keen mental faculties for assessment and decision-making skills in managing acutely ill patients are essential. Good reading eyesight and visual acuity for observing patient assessment data and documentation tools are necessary. Emotional stability conducive to handling high-stress levels related to patient care is crucial. The ability to communicate accurately with healthcare professionals, patients, and the public is required.
