Surgical Tech Location: Hermiston, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,358 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Stress Test Technician (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (unencumbered) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Knowledge of cardiac physiology, EKG interpretation, and cardiovascular medications - Ability to respond to cardiac emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions - Strong communication and patient-education skills Description: The Stress Test Technician (RN) is responsible for performing cardiac stress testing procedures under the direction of a cardiologist or supervising provider. This role ensures safe, accurate diagnostic testing while monitoring patients' hemodynamic status. The RN recognizes clinical changes and provides appropriate nursing intervention when necessary. The RN collaborates with cardiology, clinical staff, and diagnostic services to maintain high-quality patient care and clinical outcomes. The RN conducts exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress tests according to established protocols and provider orders. They perform pre-test patient assessments, including health history, medications, vital signs, and contraindication screening. The RN places and monitors EKG leads, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and other physiologic indicators throughout testing. They identify EKG changes, arrhythmias, symptoms, or safety concerns and escalate or intervene based on nursing scope of practice. The RN administers medications used in stress testing per protocol and RN licensure authority. They document all procedures, patient responses, and clinical data accurately. The RN provides patient education regarding the procedure, expectations, risks, and follow-up instructions. They ensure equipment functionality, cleanliness, and readiness and troubleshoot common issues. The RN collaborates with cardiologists, technologists, and diagnostic imaging teams to coordinate testing and patient flow. They maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state nursing practice acts. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
