Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, strong IV skills, and vent experience for a 13-week night shift contract in Yakima, WA. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the NICU (Unit 3N) of an acute care hospital setting - Patient population includes neonates from 26 weeks gestational age and higher - Manages patients on Bubble CPAP and ventilators (no oscillators) - Performs and assists with central line procedures including UAC, PICC, and UVC placement - Provides NAS care including eat/sleep/console treatment and morphine wean protocols - Familiar with Bubble CPAP, high flow, nasal cannula, and neo puff equipment - EMR: Epic - 12-hour night shifts (1900–0730), with day shift availability (0700–1930) - 36 hours per week - Every other weekend rotation required - May float to Mother Baby and other units in a 1:1 or NAC capacity - First-time travelers may be considered with significant NICU experience - Scrubs are provided in navy blue; NICU and Peds staff may wear personal scrubs but must follow OR suite guidelines when attending deliveries - Clinical interview conducted via SimpliFi platform /n /n Requirements/n - Active WA RN license or compact RN license required - Current BLS and NRP certifications required - Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required - Strong IV skills required - Ventilator experience required - Two references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required for consideration, though one reference may be submitted initially /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-677803.
