Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,700 - $2,840 per week Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current
experience in Labor & Delivery or acute care preferred - Current
Washington State RN Licensure (must have active RN license in WA) -
BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers (AHA or
equivalent) within 30 days of hire - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation
Program) certification required prior to end of orientation - ACLS
(Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification to be obtained within
6 months of hire - AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC
Electronic Fetal Monitoring within 3 months of L&D training -
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; L&D, obstetrics,
maternal-newborn, or perinatal nursing experience preferred -
Ability to perform core RN functions: assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care for mothers and newborns - Strong critical
thinking, crisis management, and communication skills essential for
labor & delivery and obstetrics nursing Responsibilities - Provide
direct patient care and manage a group of patients on the Labor &
Delivery unit as an L&D Registered Nurse - Assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate nursing care for laboring mothers,
postpartum patients, and newborns - Support deliveries, assist with
obstetric procedures, and provide maternal-newborn care in a
team-based setting - Identify patient and family learning needs and
deliver education on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
- Document care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) and
maintain compliance with charting standards - Delegate and
supervise care provided by other nurses and support staff; may
function as Charge Nurse when needed - Demonstrate awareness of and
sensitivity to patient and family rights, cultural needs, and
patient-centered care - Maintain professional growth, stay current
with best practices in L&D nursing, and adhere to safety and
