This locum tenens position requires covering several in-house 24-hour call shifts per month, focusing on emergent cases such as hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, and delivery complications. Supported by a team of five midwives, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional women’s health care within a dedicated Trauma Level 2 facility. Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens - Setting: Inpatient - Start Date: ASAP - Schedule: Varied 24-hour in-house call shifts - Patient Population: Adult - Location: Richland, WA - Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates Benefits - Weekly direct deposit - Malpractice insurance with tail coverage - Supportive credentialing assistance - Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable) - Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive obstetric care during 24-hour call shifts - Manage emergent cases in collaboration with hospital emergency departments - Perform obstetric surgeries and complicated deliveries as required - Interpret FHR (Fetal Heart Rate), perform OB ultrasounds and manage both low and high risk pregnancies - Collaborate with midwives and healthcare team Qualifications - Board Certified in Obstetrics - Current BLS certification - Skilled in managing both routine and high-risk obstetric cases - Proficient in surgical gynecology and complicated deliveries Working Hours - Flexible 24-hour call shifts as scheduled Skills - Expertise in low and high-risk pregnancy management - Proficient in FHR interpretation and OB ultrasound - Competence in routine and complex deliveries, including VBAC, C-section, and multiple births - Strong decision-making skills for surgical procedures and emergency situations
