Responsible for HR Management and other administrative duties; collaborates closely with senior plant management and global/regional HR partners to support group and/or BU objectives. Carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, staffing, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment and selection, HR compliance including local, state and federal employment law compliance. Requires substantial knowledge regarding employment laws and regulations at all levels, excellent judgment, ethical practice, and the ability to treat all information confidentially.#CB1Key Accountabilities ---Maintains Strategic Business Partner relationship with site and global management team to identify and develop strategies and solutions regarding employment related objectives and issues.---Manages the development, implementation and administration of local personnel policies and procedures based upon desired site culture in compliance with local, state and federal legal requirements. ---Establish and manage plant HR department goals, objectives and systems in alignment with BU and Global HR strategy.---Manages employee-management relations administration and is primary information resource for employment relations topics and investigates and resolves employee concerns.---Using internal and external resources available, develop flow of qualified candidates for current and future vacancies, to the extent possible.---Advance a positive company image and objectives by working with external government agencies such as WorkSource, school districts, business associations, legislators and community partners.---Counsels and collaborates with management team regarding management of employees as well as investigating and settling employee concerns.---Advises management of current labor legislation, labor market conditions, prevailing union and management practices, current wage rates, and employee benefit program practices and costs.---Supports workplace safety and health activities and manages local workers' compensation program.---Oversight of site human resource information system, records maintenance and site HR reporting.Job Requirements:---4 year college degree or blend of education and related experience.---Minimum 8 years HR Generalist Experience, preferably in a plant level manufacturing environment.---Minimum 3 years at HR manager level.---Working knowledge Microsoft Office Programs.---SAP HR experience preferred but not required---Exceptional knowledge of Federal and WA State laws and regulations affecting Human Resources such as; EEOC, FLSA, WC,COBRA, ADA/ADAAA, FMLA, HIPPA, ERISA, NLRA, WA FLA, WA PL, etc.Preferred Qualifications ---Strong written and verbal communication skills.---Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively with all levels of management and classes of employees.---Effective decision maker.---Strong analysis/problem solving skills.---Good follow-up skills---Excellent listening skills.---Able to keep confidential information secure.---Excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks.---Proven ability to meet deadlinesPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
