Job Description:

FIBER SPLICERLooking for experienced fiber optic splicers to join our team. Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cables, both loose tube and ribbon.
• Assemble splice case, including grounding, bonding, isolation, storage, and sealing.
• Read and interpret splicing diagrams.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repair as called upon. All applicants must follow safety guidelines at all times Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of fiber optic color code.
  • Working knowledge of fusion splice machine OTDR, power meter, and live traffic identifier.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network related issues with provided test equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in all weather environments and willing to travel for projects in Illinois.Preferred Qualifications
    • Minimum of 2yrs fiber optic splicing and troubleshooting using common industry test gear and tools;
