Job Description:
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are at the forefront of
revolutionizing the future of cloud computing. As a Network Install
Technician in our DCC Communities, you will play a crucial role in
deploying and maintaining our vast network infrastructure, which
enables millions of AWS customers to innovate and scale their
workloads at a massive scale. This role involves hands-on tasks,
problem-solving and collaboration with teams to install, configure,
and optimize our data center networks. You will have the
opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a
dynamic and innovative environment. Install, maintain, and
troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers,
switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) in AWS data centers.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service
packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor
performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitor
system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in
conjunction with AWS security team. Liaise with vendors and other
IT personnel for problem resolution. Proven hands-on network
engineering experience. Deep understanding of networking protocols
(e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS). Solid experience with
network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds
network tools). Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote
implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Ability to
work independently and as part of a team. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCNA) or higher. CompTIA Network certification.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a
plus.
