Summary

The High Care Operator will work in the area of the IQF tunnels and product sorters within the high care area of a vegetable processing plant to monitor the equipment and maintain the area.

Key Responsibilities

Observes equipment within high care area and watches for any abnormalities. Alerts Production Lead or maintenance of any mechanical issues

Operates pallet jack to move bins of silage out of the area

Observes product sorting equipment to make sure it is rejecting defective product and makes small adjustments to the equipment as needed

Supplies totes to the processing are by operating tote erection equipment

Monitors the automated tote conveyer systems and makes adjustments

Passes samples from the high care area to the QA Sampler

Performs cleaning and sanitizing of the area as needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High School Diploma or GED

Relevant Experience

Preferred at least one year working in a processing environment

Other Information

Must be able to work in a refrigerated area

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure

Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment

Ability to work weekends, shift work and overtime
