PROFILE OF COMPANY:
Gray & Osborne has provided professional engineering services to
public agencies throughout Washington State since 1935. We
specialize in the planning, design, and construction management of
water, wastewater, transportation, and utility systems. We have a
talented and motivated staff that is well respected in the
municipal civil engineering community.
The opening is a field position based out of our Yakima office
located at 180 Iron Horse Court. Yakima has an ideal climate, warm
in the summer with mild winters and almost 200 days of sunshine
each year. The Yakima area has many opportunities for outdoor
recreation including biking, hiking, fishing, hunting climbing,
camping, skiing, and golfing.
Primary responsibilities include either working with the survey
crew party chief or chainman/instrument operator to complete
topographic and boundary surveys and providing construction
staking. The job consists primarily of field work in Eastern
Washington. Work in Western Washington is required on occasion and
may require overnight travel. Duties may include locating points
with the survey rod, installing hubs or stakes, and operating
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
2-10 years of field survey experience
Able to work well with others in a collaborative manner.
Possesses high energy and willingness to learn.
Able to maintain a high awareness of jobsite safety.
