DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made

and interagency regulations Model and enforce Lifeways' policies
and procedures in a fair mannerMust model the culture of excellent

Mission Statement and Core Values.Under general supervision, Assess
client needs and function level.Provides individualized case
management to clients. Make appropriate referrals. Provides some
individual and group counseling and education and support to
clients and families, skills training and outreach to client homes.
Acts as liaison and provides consultation, education and
information to community agencies that routinely come in contact
with individuals with mental or emotional disturbances. Make
diagnoses. Acts as program coordinator by assisting with program
planning activities. Screens clients for program eligibility and
conduct comprehensive evaluations resulting in a DSM IV diagnosis.
Develops diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans for clients
which includes delivery of appropriate services as defined in the
detailed treatment plan. May provide consultation for chemical
dependency problems, education and training for other program staff
and community agencies and groups. May provide clinical review of
work by other clinicians or subcontracted programs. May perform
other duties and special assignment as
assigned.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below
are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities
required to perform the essential functions of this job.Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively in
both oral and written forms. Customer service and detail oriented.
Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based practices, including:
group counseling skills, one-on-one counseling skills, treatment
planning, assessments, and referrals.Experience with electronic
medical records and telemedicine highly desirableKnowledge of
cultural and family issues that can contribute to Lifeways'
development of clinically relevant and effective
care.Bilingual/multilingual a plus.Ability to operate computers,
copy machine, faxes, and scanner. Minimum Requirements:Education
and/or Experience: This is a journey level professional counseling
position with an M.A. degree plus two years of experience or an
equivalent combination of education and experience. Provides
individual, group and family counseling or equivalent experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license.
Appropriate state licensure. Mental Health Specialist working with
the chemically dependent must hold appropriate CADC licensure or
receive the credential/license within 36-months of application.
Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health,
behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality,
privacy, and other related areas.Must pass a drug test and criminal
background checkPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands
described here are representative of those that must be met to
successfully perform the job. The employee is frequently required
to sit, walk, or stand; use hands and fingers to handle or feel;
reach with hands and arms; and ability to talk and hear. The
employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus.
