This position is a perfect fit for the dual track parent/practitioner who needs flex time or for a semi-retired clinician who isn't quite ready to walk away from individualized patient care! Deliver care during pre-selected week days that are convenient for you and align with your family obligations and/or lifestyle priorities. No nights or weekends!

Job Summary:

Under general strategic direction, but with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, this position is responsible for organization, direction, and professional results in the medical diagnostic and treatment of patients for the miCare Clinic. miCare delivers employer sponsored on-site Clinics around the United States to remove both access and cost barriers for enrolled health plan members, offering grater opportunity for education and engagement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical duties

  • Using evidence-based medicine practice, performs complex medical work including medical history and physiological, psychological, and behavioral factors to determine the cause(s) of a disease, disorder, or injury
  • Develops plans for treatment as well as administers specialized medical treatments and procedures
  • Prescribes appropriately
  • Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests
  • Follows-up with patients timely and appropriately
  • Plan, assigns, and/or supervise the work of others in the miCare Clinic
  • Practices effective communication with miCare team and patient to ensure coordination of care.
  • Document care as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited college of medicine with a degree as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern medicine; human anatomy and physiology; medical terminology; community resources in medical treatment; American Medical Association ethics and standards; pharmacology including laws regarding informed consent, dosage ranges, drug incompatibilities, and side effects; ICD-9 and CPT coding
  • Board Certification in Family Practice, General Practice, IM/Peds or Emergency Medicine
  • Active Medical License in the State of Washington
  • Working knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office products Proficient typing skills Proficient typing skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving, analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workloads multi-task and manage priorities in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
