Job Description:
YVFWC has a compulsory vaccination policy including the Covid-19
primary series, the organization does not mandate the Covid-19
booster although it is offered through our employee health
department. Medical and religious exemptions to the primary series
will be considered and for those approved, the employee should
anticipate following appropriate guidance around masking and other
protective equipment offered.
Under the direction or supervision of a Program Coordinator II or
other supervisor assists in overseeing designated service programs,
ensuring that goals and objectives are met within the prescribed
timeframes and funding parameters. Ensures Program/grant
compliance. Serve as a resource and source of contact to internal
and external stakeholders. Develops and oversee smaller program
budgets less than $100K. May supervise a small number of staff
including professional program staff, volunteers, and student
participants.
Overseeing the Mobile Unit Department.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities/Duties
- Coaches, mentors and trains direct report staff. Provides
continuous performance management and conducts employee performance
evaluations. Addresses performance and/or behavior issues,
clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
- Supports staff growth and development. Assesses the educational
and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with
the individual. Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities
incorporating job related training in addition to mandatory
training.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Provides orientation to outline job requirements and expectations,
policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and
equipment.
- Under the direction of a Program Coordinator ii or other
supervisor assist to create, maintain and implement program policy
and procedures for assigned program(s) incorporating federal,
state, and local rules and regulations. Recommends improvements to
current policies and procedures to improve program effectiveness
and performance.
- Under the direction of a Program coordinator ii or other
supervisor assists to oversees program requirements and ensures
program compliance. Provides review and analysis of adherence to
grant and program requirements, objectives and goals. Responds to
questions regarding grant and program compliance to external
sources, including State and Agency contacts.
- Serves as a program resource on program guidelines and
requirements as defined by funding source.
- Under direction of supervisor, manages program budget and
ensures expenditures are allowable and reasonable.
- Monitors, reviews, and reports on program progress and
impact.
- Presents seminars and workshops to parent participants and
community partners.
- Works collaboratively with community partners to provide
services to Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC) clients.
Demonstrates cultural awareness and the ability to conduct business
with local agencies.
- Participates in local, state, and federal efforts to improve
service delivery and program effectiveness.
- Establishes goals for improving quality of services provided.
Leads and manages quality improvement and customer satisfaction
activities to improve delivery of services.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate s Degree in Healthcare Administration,
Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or Medical Office
Administration. Two years experience includes working in an office
environment, working with programs, working in a non-profit
organization, and/or working in social services may be substituted
for required education depending on the contract. Bachelor s Degree
in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health Services
Administration, or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: One year s experience working in an office
environment, working with programs, working in a non-profit
organization, and/or working in social services preferred.
- Professional Licenses/Certificates/Registration: May require
program specific certification post-employment. Valid Driver s
License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong public speaking skills,
Strong event planning skills with ability to organize public and
employee events.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong
relationship building skills with the ability to establish and
maintain partnerships in the community and within Yakima Valley
Farm Workers Clinic (YVFWC). Basic proficiency with a variety of
computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and
PowerPoint.
