transportation services representative you will apply vehicle laws,
agency policies and regulations. You will represent our agency and
meet customer service expectations while adhering to privacy laws.

These are limited duration appointments that are expected to last
until June 2023. Limited duration appointments are benefits
eligible and have a designated maximum length of service. This
position has the potential to become permanent.

A day in the life:
Communicate regularly with customers of diverse backgrounds.
Assist the public in titling and registering vehicles and obtaining
all types of over-the-road permits.
Inspect supporting documents and applications for completeness and
accuracy.
Provide applicants with driver license study materials and assist
them with the application process.
Administer, correct and explain driver license law tests.
Conduct and interpret driver vision tests.
Perform physical examination of vehicles in all weather
conditions.
Produce photo licenses, instruction permits and identification
cards.
Determine and collect appropriate fees for transactions.
Assist in maintaining sensitive inventory and other office
materials.
Account for documents and monies received; maintain established
balance standards; balance receipts at the close of each business
day.
Conduct driver license examinations, including behind-the-wheel
drive tests for regular class C vehicles.
Travel and work in other offices in the Region as well as attend
training outside of the region may be required.

What we need:
Two years of public contact/customer service experience which
involved dealing with the public in-person or by phone providing
information about services/programs or explaining and/or applying
laws, rules, regulations/procedures.
AND
Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input
data.
Completion of an associate's degree will substitute for one year of
the public contact experience.
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a
valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will
conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final
candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to
be considered.
NOTE: In addition to the above minimum requirements, this position
requires the employee to collect money and make change. If you wish
to be considered for this position, your application must show a
minimum of three months experience in this area.
