The Sr. Electrical Engineer has responsibilities in 2
areas:
support the design and construction of a greenfield manufacturing
plant (Moses Lake, WA).
support the operations of an existing manufacturing plant
(Woodinville, WA).
This will involve project technical support and project management
activities for battery materials processing equipment. This role
will work with low and medium incoming voltage equipment to ensure
operational capability and proper power distribution within the
plant and for specific unit operations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
-Conduct technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and
codes.
-Contribute to design requirements and specifications for equipment
procurement and facility construction.
-Review vendor submittals of engineering technical data, equipment
data sheets, general arrangement drawings, single-line diagrams,
P&ID's, etc.
-Support development and review of project proposals to ensure
proper design in regard to power distribution, grounding, and
general equipment demands within the plant.
-Support operations, maintenance, and projects for day-to-day
considerations for power loads and power distribution, primarily
with 3-phase 480V infrastructure.
-Support operations and maintenance for powered equipment
needs.
-Oversee design, maintenance, and testing of on-site UPS systems,
Load Centers, and Switchgear.
-Support construction, installation and commissioning of
infrastructure, facilities and equipment.
-Support, design, and specify needs for electrical instrumentation
in existing and new unit processes.
-Investigate equipment failure in support to reliability
engineer.
-Participate in continuous improvement activities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering
degree with relevant experience.
-5+ years of experience, preferably within industrial, chemical or
manufacturing.
-Experience with 3-phase power systems and 480V infrastructure.
-Working knowledge of and ability to read single-line drawings.
-Experience in selecting, designing and/or commissioning electrical
distribution systems within a manufacturing or other facility
(including main distribution panels, motor control centers,
transformers, etc.)
-Working knowledge of and experience with electrical codes and
standards (e.g., NFPA 70, UL508A, UL2011, etc.)
OTHER QUALITIES WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Equipment commissioning and start-up experience.
-Experience in bulk solids processing and manufacturing.
-Experience with manufacturing power distribution designs and use,
primarily with 480V or less.
-Experience with determining and/or complying with hazardous area
classifications (combustible dusts and flammable vapors)
-Ability to read and understand Process and Instrumentation
Diagrams (P&ID)

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000.Actual
pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and
responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant
experience and skills.
