REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a proven track record in customer service and public relations. Proficiency in basic computer, data entry and typing skills is required.
Must demonstrate a positive attitude, a professional image, and be self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Represents the Credit Union to the members in a friendly, positive, and professional manner greeting members and guests as they enter the facility and during their visit.

Responsible for sales and delivery of Credit Union products and services to new and existing members including taking loan applications, opening new deposit accounts, and helping individual members use the ATM .

Actively promotes the use of Credit Union technology including Telephone Banking, Online Banking, Bill Pay, and other automated services utilized by the Credit Union.

Interviews loan applicants and gathers required information for a credit application.

Is granted limited lending authority.

Discloses loan repayment, interest charges, deposit account information and fees to members consistent with credit union policy, governmental regulation, (i.e., Truth-in-Lending, and Truth-in-Savings).

Handles all monetary transactions for members (i.e., deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, miscellaneous receipts) and other normal inquiries.

Determines acceptability of negotiable items and of member identification.

Maintains cash drawer at a predetermined dollar level.

Researches and answers member questions regarding their accounts and responds positively to members' requests, problems, or complaints.

Acquires preliminary information necessary to assist the branches Mortgage Loan Officer. Gather and relay that information to the Mortgage Loan Officer to expedite the members' needs in order for the Mortgage Loan Officer to process and serve the members' requests efficiently.

Processes account change cards for name changes, adding or removing owners, and other account maintenance while adhering to policy and procedures.

Reviews for completion, sorts, and distributes to the appropriate departments applications for new services. Ensures new accounts are properly set up on the computer.

Answers incoming phone calls and correspondence, provides general information and directs specific questions to the appropriate departments.

Maintains positive member relations via telephone and personal contact, and is responsible for proper telephone etiquette.

Maintains daily, monthly, and quarterly reports as required by management.

Attends regular staff meetings as required by management.

Provides Notary Public service to members as needed.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Recognize and listen to member/coworker requests and/or concerns and identify their needs so they may better be served.

Assist with gathering information as required of the position and/or as requested by the supervisor.

Adequately perform all operational functions to fulfill the requirements of the position and provide other support functions as requested.

Be a team player, a good coach, and serve as a role model for all credit union staff.

Communicate effectively with members, coworkers, and management.

Ability to make sound financial decisions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 60 lbs.

Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.

Occasional business travel may be required.

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.

Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
