position plays a vital role in promoting and embodying the mission,
vision, and values of YUGM. This role is responsible maintaining
cleanliness of all areas of YUGM Thrift Stores with efficiency, in
a timely manner, and supporting the mission, vision, and values of
YUGM. Assist in all aspects of YUGM Thrift Store maintenance to
ensure timely and efficient handling of projects and tasks. Assist
with Thrift facilities tickets. Mission, Vision, and Core Values At

attitude under stress. Duties and Responsibilities Cultural and
Ministerial Responsibilities · Uphold and promote YUGM’s Christian
beliefs and behaviors, core values, policies, and procedures with a
high-level of integrity. · Develop professional, caring,

encouragement, and trust. · Provide ministry and show kindness and
grace to staff, volunteers, clients, donors, and the community. ·

for individuals, departments, strategic plans and other YUGM needs.
Functional Responsibilities · Work and communicate well with others
including customers, donors, staff, and volunteers in a team
environment. · Assist YUGM Maintenance department in review,
prioritization, and completion of Thrift maintenance tickets. ·
Complete with accuracy and efficiency direct work assignments. ·
Maintain a tidy, clean, and safe workspace/environment, following
all necessary safety measures and established procedures as each
task dictates. · Continually review the condition and state of YUGM
thrift stores for cleanliness, safety, and appropriate janitorial
supply levels. This includes both interior and exterior locations
within and around the thrift stores. · Work as a self-starter and
perform all required tasks as needed or requested by your manager.
· Operate machinery, such as but not limited to forklifts and floor
polishers, as needed. · Work with the leadership team to develop
and maintain a janitorial schedule to ensure that the stores stay
clean and safe. · Train staff in proper cleaning procedures and on
any equipment needed to complete regular janitorial tasks. · Assist
store management with assessing overall store cleanliness and work
on creating solutions. Additional Responsibilities · Attend, as
requested or required, all YUGM trainings and meetings scheduled by
the management team to keep current on any policy changes, new
procedures, and other information essential to performing the job.
· Other duties as assigned in support of YUGM’s mission and values.
Requirements: Qualifications Education and Experience: · Experience
in cleaning and general maintenance tasks. · Experience with
chemical safety and ability to read and adhere to safety guidelines
(SDS sheets) · Must have fundamental computer and computer software
skills to input job details, search online for materials/supplies
and research appropriate task guidelines. · Two plus years of
related experience in janitorial, maintenance and/or security
fields. · Functional organizational, customer service, and
interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism and
ability to maintain confidentiality when needed. · High school
diploma/GED, Washington State Driver’s License (current), safe
driving record. Proficiencies: · Excellent organizational, written,
and verbal communication skills. · Ability to work independently
and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. · Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. · Able to work
independently under the pressure of deadlines, interruption, and
changing priorities while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
· Reliable, resourceful, and flexible. · Demonstrate personal and

and Outcomes. Working Conditions Primary duties of this position
are performed in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment. The
noise level in the environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work
and work in inclement weather and irregular work hours will be
required. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with
shifting priorities. Some travel between store locations and YUGM’s
Main Campus required. Physical Requirements · Visual and auditory
abilities to effectively perform job tasks. · Clear and fluent
communication in English. · Sit and review information on a
computer screen or on paper for extended periods. · Capable of
walking, climbing stairs, balancing, bending, reaching, and using
hands for tasks. · Travel from one location to another. · Ability
to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
